So whatcha’ll up to? Me, nada. In fact, just listening to music updating the blog. I really didn’t want to do much though. Feeling better than a few hours ago after crying my eyes out for getting my hopes up. I just dropped off the hubby at work and am all alone. Well, my doggies are here, but they’re snuggled and not in the mood for talking. LOL.

Seriously, I was a little upset to think that I’m spending New Years alone, but I came to the conclusion that I like being alone. I like it more than being surrounded by people who annoy me. I’m supposed to go pick up my mom and step dad so they can keep me company because apparently everyone is feeling guilty after finding out that my hubby had to work. It’s kinda hillarious. LOL. I love my mom. No matter how old I get she always tries to comfort me and knows exactly when I’m not feeling 100%.

It’s funny because we weren’t always so close. Growing up all I remember was being stuck to my dad like there was no tomorrow. Everywhere he went I was there. It was like that up until I turned 20 I think. Slowly my mom and I bonded like glue. She’s a strong woman. No matter what, she’ll always try to make me or the siblings happy. Gotta love her for that.

So yeah, here I am. Not really wanting to go out and pick anyone up. I kinda like this. But I know I’ll kick myself in the butt if I don’t give my mom her annual New Year’s hug. Hehe. I’m such a corny ass I know.

Any who, what are you or did you do? Were you surrounded by your loved ones or a bunch of strangers at some club?

Well, whatever the case may be I wish you all lots of love, success, joy, happiness this coming 2009.

This is Why Planning Does Not Work For Me

Whenever I get something going it seems as if something has to happen and stop it from eventually becoming a reality. That’s cool. I get it. Whatever.

If you’re looking for some happy-go-lucky story this isn’t going to be it. This is going to be a depressing bitching post.

Remember the last post in which I was SO Excited? Yeah that one. Well, we’re not going. Something about everyone not having money and how she has to think of the girls and blah blah blah. Fuck. Shit. You knew you we’re not gonna have a JOB a year ago. You could’ve been like normal folks and looked for one from day one. Don’t fucking pull that shit on me. And two I didn’t ask you to fuck your new boyfriend, move in, get pregnant, fuck some other dude, get caught, get kicked out of his house, date the other guy who’se family does not approve of you for being hispanic, who is now in the philipines having the time of his life. And somehow, you’re lucky enough that I still care for your ass because I am your sister. Don’t you dare pull that shit on me and come down on me for having fuckin’ priorities. Excuse me for having some self-respect and taking care of ME. And don’t even try to make me feel sorry for you. You have two beautiful girls who look up to you who have no idea how fucked up you are.

I’m not mad at you. Trust me. I’m mad at myself for getting my hopes up. For thinking that at some point you’d change.

So yeah, to everyone else. Turns out I’m not going to Kansas. Yeah. Who cares.

PS. Don’t worry. I’ll get over it. I’m just venting because if I don’t I’ll end up saying this outloud and hurting some feelings. . .and I don’t want to.

We’re going on a road trip. The longest road trip we’ve taken EVER! My siblings and I that is, oh, and the girls. Yeah, we’re crazy! You don’t have to tell me I figured it out on my own. Still, we’re so excited. More excited than I’ve been since the last trip because well we never have taken such a trip. I’m also scared outta my mind because OMG what if we’re kidnapped like in the movies?!? LMBO!! Haha. I know I’m making a fool of myself, but seriously we’ll see how the whole thing turns out.

So according to Mapquest we’ll be driving some distance. Like a good 18 hours 20 minutes or 1241.68 miles of US Territory. Sounds delightful eh?

What’s in Kansas you ask? A friend we haven’t seen in 6 months. But ultimately, I think we just want to explore. It’s gonna be a new year, and that means we have to take risks and chances and get out there and LIVE. I swear the farthest I’ve gone is San Francisco Guatemala, but that was in 2001 and that was with my grandpa, so that really doesn’t count. In fact, I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve even remotely left Los Angeles. . .and yes I’m counting Vegas. Can you tell I’m excited? I know, I’m such a dork!

Well, everything is in its planning stage right now, but hopefully it’ll take off and go smoothly. Wish us the best!

Okay. Christmas is over, but can I tell you how much fun I had at Christmas? I mean seriously, it was the most fun I think we’ve all had in a very long time. My sis and I decided to get dressed up. . .well a little. Ofcourse I dressed my hubby as well and the girls too. And my brother came over to drop off the ponche and went back to mom’s to tell her that it was officially a dressing up event. So my mom surprised us all with this outfit. You know what? I aint mad at her. The woman is 46, has 3 grown ass kids, is single in a relationship on and off, but looks good! If anything, I’m freaking jealous! Haha! Anywho, we had a blast. Well, I don’t really want to type since it’s almost 3 in the AM, but here are some more pictures of the night. Enjoy. Oh, by the way, Merry Belated Christmas and Happy 2009!!!!

So my car was hit today. I totally think it was my dumb ho of a step mom who lives next door. She was probably trying to back up. Ugghh. So mad. Of course what hurts the most is that my father has chosen to back her up and lie to me to my face. Of course he wants to blame me for parking on the street. Hello, it’s in front of my house! Any who, here are some pictures of the damage. The hubby will be attempting to clean this mess up in a sec.

The House

This is the house that my sis and I are hoping to get. It is significantly overpriced because it’s so close to Downtown, Los Angeles, but seriously no one in their right mind is going to pay that much for it. The house just happens to be perfect for my sister and I, but not for a large family like the ones that live in this neighborhood. It’s 3 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms, a bonus room, and a very private patio. We put the offer on Saturday, and we’re supposed to be told the outcome by Wednesday. I am so anxious it’s ridiculous! I’m thinking that the bank is surely going to counter because they don’t want to lose out, but we’ll see. I also saw this other house online today that is twice the size with parking and everything, but it’s not in a very desireable neighborhood, but that’s important to us because of the girls. We want them to be able to go outside and play and feel safe. But that other house is gorgeous. . ..HmmMmMm. What do do? So anywho, I’m praying the bank takes this offer and runs with it! LOL. We’ll see!

My Sister and Her Premonitions. . .

I got this text from my sis last night:

Was Up my sista! my mom is here, has she talk to you? Are we doing anything for her birthday I don’t know why but I have a bad feeling inside me but its weird ! Like something bad is going to happen but hopefully not weird I know ok ……

Today, no more than 2 hours ago. My brother calls me and asks me to take my car out. I do. Then he puts his car inside and asks me to put mine in. Then he tells me he got in an argument at the grocery store with some guy who hit his car. But since my brother’s car is old and heavy the other guy’s car was damaged and not his. An hour later the cops got here and are now investigating the situation…but they’re claiming hit and run. . . Ughh. It sucks cuz it’s my mom’s bday.

Free is Better (for me)

So, I’ve decided to go for the free wordpress account as opposed to paying to “tweak” my own site. I sure as hell didn’t have time to tweak! So I think I’m making a good choice. Maybe down the road, but for now I’m gonna have to go this route.

Hi there. Loooooong time no blog!

I know, I’ve been awful. I even question why I continue to do this. I totally suck at keeping this online persona! Still, here I am today. . .attempting to blog. I actually have quite a few things to talk about. Such as. . . .

My sister, hubby, and I ALMOST bought (or are buying) a HOUSE.
I’m my nieces official baby sitter because my sis is joining the police academy.
I’m back to ditching work (again) partly because I strained my back on Saturday.
I’m attempting to take control of my finances and actually have a BUDGET.
I think I want to be a realtor because aparently EVERYONE can be a realtor.
The movies 21 and Under the Same Moon.
Should I continue purchasing this blog site or go for a free one????
etc.

So anyway, I don’t have time right now right now, but later on I’mma come back and hopefully get it together. . .we’ll see.

Spring Break

I love the spring. I specifically love it when I’m off in the spring. It’s not too hot and it’s not cold. It’s just right! I usually don’t do much, but being off is always better than having to work!

Any hoot, this year I’ve kept myself pretty busy. I’ve spent quite a while with the nieces and I even got to spend the day with my little sister who I see only once in a long while. Again, hopefully that will be changing soon. On Sunday evening we (sis Jackie, bro Luis, the nieces, and my little sis Natalie) left to San Diego to visit Sea World. I’ve never in my life been to Sea World, so I of course was overly excited. . .so excited that I hardly even slept. We stayed at the same hotel chain that we always do. . .La Quinta. . .I really like ‘em. I get free internet and I can bring the dogs, so it’s just ubberly convenient for me. Plus it doesn’t hurt that the rooms are a steal.

Sea World was awesome! I got to touch the dolphins and feed ‘em. It was such a cool experience. They are my favorite sea creatures ever! They are super sweet. If y’all don’t know I’m a pisces, so it’s in my nature to be around water and feel a connection to the sea for some odd reason. As weird as it may sound, I totally feel at peace near the ocean. It was a nice day to come also because it wasn’t jam packed. We got back Monday night, but my hubby and I had decided to go to Disneyland and California Adventure as well, so that’s where we’re at right now. He’s resting right now, cuz he’s worked the grave yard shift lately, but he didn’t want to spoil my spring break, so here we are. I’m using my time to post because I haven’t done so in quite a bit. It’s super crowded here. . .but then again, Disneyland always is.

I’ll post pix later, but for now this is it as I gotta head back to that little magical kingdom!
